‘Only Fans’ featuring Digital Liquid, is a track from Scottish soul artist, Joseph Malik’s highly praised ‘Proxima Ebony’ album, released last year on Ramrock Records. Getting its own single release for summer ’24,  there’s also a giant remix package that has just been unleashed courtesy of London’s iconic dance music production duo X-Press 2.

Joseph’s powerful vocals reminisce about dealing with his early memories of being brought up around sex workers and the roles they were expected to fulfil, underpinned by Digital Liquid’s mesmerizing acid worm lead, X-Press 2 work their magic to deliver an electrifying remix filled with infectious hooks, energetic beats, and top-notch production. Taking the song to new heights, the duo have crafted a sublime Lo-Fi ‘Back Room’ version, complete with laid-back breakbeats and a killer dubby bass groove, resulting in a hypnotic track that would surely impress the late and very great Mr. Weatherall.
