Started out, like many of us, in a living room or kitchen where dj’s are crammed into a small corner so friends have 1m² to dance. Getting drunk, no fresh air in the room, people leave outside and neighbours get pissed. All sounds familiar to many of us.

Same with the guys from LivingRoom who have outgrown their rooms and moved to a bigger place to organise great nights out in the beautiful Cologne (Germany). A small city with a great nightlife scene.

Whenever you visit, head over to Reineke Fuchs in the Aachenerstrasse. It’s very near to the fantastic & cozy Café Schmitz where you can have über delicious food and drinks.

So one of the artists performing at those nights is called Tolstoi for which we are reviewing the very nice release with 2 originals and 2 remixes and is called Luna. Ready for 2015 Tolstoi reunits with Khaan again and deliver a new spicy drop featuring Nino Santos & Lightem.

The release date is set for March 30 via Brise Records. So stay tuned!

Opening track ‘Luna’ is made for the dance floor with a catchy rhythm, deep bouncy beats and well-rounded bass undulations. Ortis’ remix of the original has a more throbbing bassline which elevates the track to a more darker level. Taking away the soft deep edges and adding a more whipping bass.

The second original, ‘Wise Words’, has the same deep infectious groove as ‘Luna’ but adds a nice layer of sampled buoyant vocals. MAR-T & Luca Donzelli take this original to another level full of groove and depth. Infectious!! Get that footwork exercised for this release.
