Sgt Slick returns to Fool’s Paradise with ‘Everybody Dance’

Sgt Slick is back at Fool’s Paradise with a brilliant update of the iconic 1977 Disco hit ‘Everybody Dance’. Originally released by Bumblebee Unlimited, the track gets a 2024 makeover that blends the timeless energy of its disco roots with a contemporary house vibe. The Melbourne-based producer, well known for his popular Discotizer ReCuts, injects new life into the classic with a driving piano hook, elegant strings, and smooth atmospheric filter effects, while the cheerful, choppy vocals add an extra layer of cuteness. The result is a shimmering groove that feels nostalgic, fresh and enormously fun.

With nearly 20 years in the industry, Sgt Slick (aka Andy Ramanauskas) has solidified his place as one of Australia’s most respected figures in dance music. From ARIA and APRA Awards to multiple Billboard hits, his career has been marked by consistent chart success and critical acclaim. Having released on major labels like Spinnin’, Ultra, and Toolroom, Slick’s productions have racked up over 150 million streams on Spotify. Some of his standout tracks include the ABBA-inspired ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!’, the INXS collaboration ‘Just Keep Walking’, and  ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover’ with Mark Knight & Beverley Knight. As a DJ, producer, and remixer, Sgt Slick remains at the forefront of a vibrant Disco House scene, always playful in his approach.

Sgt Slick ‘Everybody Dance’ is out now on Fool’s Paradise.
