Hailing from Stuttgart, Ninetoes arrived on the house music scene back in 2013 where his track Finder took Ibiza by storm. Releases and remixes soon followed on acclaimed labels such as Moon Harbour, DFTD, Crosstown Rebels, Avotre, Saved, Suara, Mobilee and Play It Down to name a few and were supported by the likes of Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Jesse Rose, Luciano, Davide Squillace and Koze. 2019 saw Ninetoes launch his own label ‘Head To Toe’, where the break out track for the label became one of the top 10 Shazam’d tracks in Ibiza that season. This year shows no sign of slowing down with a string of new music on the way.
We’ve all been dancing – and probably still do when it’s played – to his amazing tune called “Finder”. A catchy groove that just doesn’t let go.
Head To Toe boss Ninetoes is next up on the famed Hot Creations as he makes his debut on the label this March. Geared for the dancefloor, his latest track “Same Same” is a solid two-track release that sees the German native at the top of his game.
Title track and A-side Same Same is a bonafide feel good anthem that packs a heavy punch. Uplifting vocal samples lead the way over the rolling, minimal undertones. On the flip, Feel It kicks in with a deep and swinging bassline as subtle vocals drift in and out amidst dark, melodic keys.
We took the time to come up with some question for this master. He took the time to answer while enjoying the sunny side of the world, Tulum.

Hey hey, hope all is well these days, considering the situation we are all in?
Thanks, I’m fine. I’m staying here in Mexico / Tulum and enjoying life.
In some parts of the world, people are celebrating again? Do you have any gigs planned already?
I’m in Tulum right now and I have a lot of gigs here. I’m playing one or two shows every week and I’m super happy that I have the opportunity to be here enjoying the sun and playing some shows.
How do you wish 2021 to be?
That everything turns into normal again and that there would be no stupid restrictions anymore.
Did the past year make you come back on decisions made? Do things differently?
Not at all. I was traveling a lot like I used to. The only thing I missed was playing shows.
Describe yourself in three words.
Humble, Laidback and a Music-nerd.
Production-wise all seems to be in order? Especially with the wobbly, hands-up-in-the-air banger on your upcoming Same Same release?
Yes. I’m super happy with this release and especially the fact that the single will drop on Hot Creations. It fits perfectly to the label.
Grab your copy or stream the release.
Why the remake? What makes the original so special for you to use it and make it your own?
Back in the days, my uncle was a DJ and he used to play the original version a lot and it became one of my most favourite songs/hooks ever and then after many years I finally had the chance to make my own version out of it.
Can you take us through a day in your life, from a possible morning routine through to your work? Do you have a fixed schedule?
No, I’m always going with the flow. Nowadays my routine is getting up, coffee, answering some emails, then most of the time I have tacos for breakfast and then I go for a swim to the beach and in the evening I’m working also on some music.
How do music and other aspects of your life work together – do you separate them or instead try to make them blend seamlessly?
Everything is connected. So most of the influences I have during the day or the week, I’ll put them into my music. As I try to live as much as I can next to the sea or under the sun, you can feel and hear it through my music.
What’s the best rumour you’ve heard about yourself?
That I don’t have nine toes and I always photoshop my toe from my pictures. 🙂
All that time in the scene, what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt along the way?
Just do what you like and never ever let someone tell you: no, it doesn’t work or no it can’t be done. There’s always a way to do what you want to do.
Thank you.
