There is no doubt that the complete musical output of Kris Menace has had an enormous influence on the international music scene for many years. But this is not only documented by eight albums and various singles. His projects like Black Van on DFA or WeAreAreWe are only mentioned here in the periphery. The cooperation with great artists like Robert Owens, Romanthony (Daft Punk), The Presets, Miss Kittin, Alan Braxe, Rex the Dog, Felix Da Housecat and DJ Pierre underlines the high standards of the producer and DJ in his work.
In addition, there have been various official remix productions for the big names in the music business such as LCD Soundsystem, Depeche Mode, Metronomy, Royksopp, Underworld, Moby, Paul Weller, Kylie Minogue and Lana Del Rey, many of which have found their way into the charts and DJs’ record bags.

Five years ago the last releases, at least for the time being, appeared on the label Spinnin’, with the old companion LifeLike from France, which also got enormous feedback and were internationally celebrated. The concurrently released album of the project Menace & Lord with singer Simon Lord, who is best known for his voice on “JUSTICE – We Are Your Friends”, nearly got lost.
A warm and organic Rome
Then it became suddenly quiet around Kris Menace. As if an evil spell had taken place and swallowed him. Reality comes pretty close. Kris Menace has now returned with his new single “Rome” and fresh sound and openly communicates a severe depression that has kept him away from studio work and much else for all these years. Now, however, a very warm and organic single, reduced in speed in relation to previous productions, reaches us that deserves to be discovered on the radio as well as by old and new fans. If we believe the rumours on the net, this first single, released on Sony’s Famouz label, will be followed by others. We are happy about the return of the artist as well as about the honest contact with his inner demons.
