sinnmusik top artists Jamie Trench & Georgi Barrel join forces on Back’N’Front vol 3

It’s been a while since we wrote about Jamie Trench. It was from his sublime release “Still Need It” a year ago. He hasn’t been sitting still as he has some nice work out on labels like Roush & Dawpers. But now he is back with a some fine funky uplifting beats on the Barcelona based sinnmusik*. Together with label veteran Georgi Barrel he’s up for a split EP on the label’s 5th vinyl. This one’s the third in the imprint’s Back’N’Front series.

This vinyl release is a very nice treat for those that love a summer groove. Jamie Trench appears on the A-side with 2 tracks called BUMP & The LBO. The first being a funky groover, grabbing you the throat at first note. Wobbly beats and very nice drum work make sure this one is a jumper for the floor. The LBO has a smoother and deeper rhythm. A little hypnotic as well. Might be the repetitive vocal sample. This track is finger licking summer proof for sure!

On the flip we can find Georgi Barrel’s work. Two melodic tracks, Cosmic Mysteries & Misdemeanor. The first “Cosmic Mysteries” describes already what to expect. Complex synth work combined with funky sliced samples will take you to higher cosmic vibes. “Misdemeanor” is a gorgeous house lick. A warm female vocal sample welcomes you to get ready for what’s coming. She further guides you through this over 4 mins long languorous vibe. This beautiful voice combined with the tribal percussion make it ready for the warm days that are coming.
