James and Tanzgemeinschaft go way back. From the early start of the organization and with a common friend we got to experience how this down to earth guy got to find his way around in the music industry. Surely with hard work, good connections and moving from London to Berlin. The latter surely did him some good. He recently played an awesome live set at Kater Blau. Tune in here »
Not so long after his live set, he released a new EP called “Winter throw outs”. We did not ask if the tracks on this release were part of the set and if they did, what the response was of the audience. This Ep contains two really nice originals and 2 remixes. We enormously love ‘Growing Down’. Such a great melodic atmosphere James created on this track. Short hooks and an amazing rolling beat starting at 1/3 of the track. Berliner Christian Bachmann is a true magician and turns the already phenomenal track into an astonishing electronic music fairy tale. Magic & psychelic!!
The opening track ‘In Delerium’ is a deep rolling groove with an underlying disco beat. This one is for early hours, warming up the crowd, making them step slighty to the left and back to the right. Sweet chill music. The remix by one of James’s long time friends Suso Flores, will speed up your dance moves. Much more melodic than the original but with dreamy soundscapes and sweet beat.
