Hey Camille, thanks for chatting with us today! Where in the world are you currently?

Hey guys thank you so much for the invitation. It’s great to be with you today. Currently in Corsica, enjoying the beautiful spring weather that is coming slowly while being very productive.

Congratulations on the launch of the new project, how has the feedback been on the live stream and release of “Era” so far?

Thank you so much for your support. It means a lot! Feedback has been great already, I didn’t expect that much. Now we are pushing the best we can in order to spread the word on different platforms with new content coming very soon.

You recorded the stream in a solar panel field, that must have been quite an experience. Can you share with us your decision regarding the location?

Indeed it was quite a special experience but very glad that we made it with the team. It’s great to be surrounded by people who want to give their best to make things happen. The goal was to make a unique and environmentally positive impact on the music industry. That is why I decided to play in a solar panel field to fit the futuristic aesthetic of the project and add a 100% original tracklist never heard before. Though there were obstacles during the three-month preparation, the talented team helped bring the idea to life.

Were there any logistical challenges that you had to overcome?

Definitely. Finding a solar panel site and starting the project was challenging.

After contacting multiple companies with no response, we explored new locations with municipalities but we received no interest. Finally, we connected with Corsica Sole who liked the project and set a date. However, the weather was another challenge, as we needed a sunny day for the recording.

We had to reschedule several times before finally getting a good day. On the day of the recording, the weather was cloudy, which was disappointing. But miraculously, a few hours before recording, the sun appeared, bringing the perfect vibe to the project. It seems like everything comes to you and it should.

The location of the stream would suggest that sustainability and environmental issues are important to you. How long have you been active in this field and have you explored any other ‘green’ initiatives?

I have been aware of the importance of these issues for over a decade. It all started with my education and with my trips abroad. I saw what pollution has done over time in some countries and that helped me realize that I need to incorporate sustainable practices into our daily routine. While I am not a full-time activist, I believe that small acts can make a big difference in the long run.

Whether it’s reducing our carbon footprint or buying electronic materials from local stores for those of us who are musicians, I am committed to doing my part for a better world.

Why do you think it’s so important that we recognise these issues within our industry?

The music industry, like many other industries, has a significant impact on the environment, from the energy used to power concerts and recording studios to the carbon emissions generated by touring and transportation. The music industry has a wide-reaching influence, particularly on young people who are often passionate about music and also concerned about the environment.

By promoting sustainability and environmental awareness within the industry, musicians and industry leaders can encourage their fans to take action on environmental issues, inspiring positive change on a wider scale. Also, the music industry has a responsibility to use its platform for positive change.

By recognizing environmental issues and taking steps to address them, the industry can help to raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability and inspire action on a global level.

At the end of the stream, you treated viewers to a free download of your new track “Era”. Do you feel like this is a new ‘era’ for your musical output?

Absolutely. I aimed to work on a new project and sonic direction while being true to my sound. Even though challenges came along the way, I am pretty satisfied with the results of the livestream and I hope that Era is just the beginning of something greater.

How do see this new sound differing from your previous Camille Luciani releases?

My current state of mind has inspired me to make music that is more uplifting, hopeful, and enlightening. I believe that the music you create is a reflection of yourself, and my current mental state has led me to create music with a more positive tone. The response from people has been overwhelmingly positive, and I am grateful for all the feedback and messages that I have received.

However, that is not the only style of music that I am working on. People will have a chance to listen to that through my future endeavours.

Can we expect to see more of your Track IDs from the stream being released in the

coming year?

Absolutely – we are working on it right now. Also, we are taking our time on this as we want to make sure everything is correlated to the vision of the project. It’s a bit of a departure from our usual sound and we’re putting the finishing touches on the songs too as they were not finished for the live stream. We’re really excited to share those final ones with everyone in the upcoming months hopefully, and we’re working hard to make sure it’s the best it can be.

What is your biggest ambition for this new moniker?

Obviously working with people that support the vision of the project from labels to promoters, etc… but most of all influence others and hopefully the new generation. The goal is to make a project to inspire musicians, in order to help them believe in themselves and have a great time while listening to the music.

I am also aiming to work in different industries such as fashion and hopefully the movie industry in the long run. I am very excited to see where this project is going to be in the next 5 years.

Thank you.
