David Granha pushes forward with this Stand Up EP
What we love so much about the Sincopat, one of our favourite imprints, is that they dare to experiment and allow the artists on their roster be themselves. Their releases are always to the point. Great sound, danceable and groovy.
One of the latest works on the label, comes from David Granha. Know as a versatile artist, working hard for over a decade already in this crazy world we called underground electronic music. With so many releases on as many fantastic labels, David is back on Sincopat with a four-track EP. “Stand Up” contains a set of amazing dance floor oriented cuts.
The title track ‘Stand up’ gets the party started with its hot rolling beats and a bouncy rhythm. It’s a playful and wobbly roller that can be used to heat up the crowd for a first hands-up moment of the night! Spot on.
‘Forget the past’ is being served raw. Dirty and distorted sounds with a haunting & jittery melody. This one will leave you all worn-out with a feeling that comes from the deeper side of house and techno. ‘Chrome’ is an all powered-up, adrenaline-rushed groove that empowers the need to move. David really pushed forward with this absolute stomper.
With ‘Ghost in a Shell’ David meets Vincent Brasse for an epic and sublime vocal that perfectly combines sensual and electronic feelings. It might have been linked to the sci-fi movie with Scarlett Johansson and being used in a shot with pursuits. You can gear up for some proper strobe-lit moments when David fires his guns on this thrill.
This awesome release comes with an extra package in the form of 3 sublime remixes. Frankfurt techno legend Felix Kröcher takes the best items and details of ‘Forget the Past’ for building an awesome and destructive reinterpretation. Absolute banger! The other remixes come from ‘Aaryon & Animal Picknik’ and ‘Kid Buckle’. The first adding a magnificent intro making it all ready to be used as a sublime opener for a set. The latter made a more symphonic and distorted version of ‘Ghost in a Shell’
