Brigado Crew step into the spotlight with their debut on Purified Records, delivering ‘Here I Am’ – a three-track EP that perfectly captures their signature blend of melodic house and driving techno. Known for their cinematic approach to electronic music, the Argentine duo craft deep, emotive soundscapes with rich melodies, atmospheric textures and powerful grooves. Teaming up with Clér Letiv, Crisstiano, and Peces Raros, they take listeners on an immersive journey through hypnotic basslines, haunting synths, and raw energy. In this interview, they share the inspiration behind the EP, their creative process, and what’s next on their horizon.
Your latest EP, Here I Am, takes listeners on a deep and atmospheric journey. What was the initial inspiration behind this project, and how did it evolve during the production process?
The initial inspiration behind Here I Am was to blend the driving energy of techno with the emotive, atmospheric qualities of house music. We wanted each track to evoke a unique feeling, while maintaining a deep, immersive vibe throughout the EP. As we progressed with production, we found ourselves experimenting more with melodies and textures, pushing the boundaries of the sound we envisioned. We’re really happy with the outcome—it’s a perfect fusion of powerful rhythms and atmospheric melodies, and it feels true to our style.
You’ve collaborated with some incredible artists on this release. How do you approach collaboration, and what do you look for in an artist when working on a track together?
For this release, we wanted to create a conceptual EP, so we decided to collaborate with three different artists to bring unique perspectives to each track. We look for artists who share a similar vision but bring their own distinctive style to the table. The goal was to blend our individual sounds while staying true to the overall concept of the EP. Each collaboration helped us bring a fresh energy and depth to the music, ultimately helping us achieve the vibe and atmosphere we envisioned.
Purified Records has a strong identity in the melodic house and techno space. What drew you to the label, and how does this release fit within their sound and your own artistic vision?
We’ve been fans of Purified for a long time and have played a lot of the imprint’s music, so it’s always been a goal of ours to be a part of the label. This EP feels like the perfect way to make our debut, as it aligns seamlessly with the label’s signature sound in melodic house and techno. The vibe of the release fits perfectly with what Purified represents, while also staying true to our own artistic vision. We’re excited that this collaboration has finally come to life!
Your music has a strong cinematic quality, with rich textures and emotive melodies. Do you draw inspiration from film or other forms of storytelling when producing?
We used to watch a lot of movies, so some of our music is influenced by the cinematic atmosphere and storytelling we experience in films. Our brains are trained to pick up on those cinematic moments, and we naturally translate that into our music. We aim to create tracks that evoke emotions and imagery, much like a powerful film scene would, using rich textures and melodies to tell a story without words.
Argentina has a thriving electronic music scene. How has your home country influenced your sound, and how do you see the local scene evolving?
Honestly, our sound isn’t heavily influenced by Argentina, but we’re really happy to see how strong the scene is now. It’s growing more every day, and we’re fortunate to have some of the best festivals, the best clubs, and of course, the best crowd in the world.
Looking back on your journey so far, is there a particular moment or milestone that felt like a turning point in your career?
Definitely, our first trip to Europe was a turning point for us. It really opened our minds and made us realize the potential of our music. When we returned, we decided to make a complete 360-degree change in our career, taking a new direction and pushing ourselves further in the scene.
With so much music being released today, what do you think makes a track truly stand out and connect with listeners?
With so much music being released today, originality is key. There’s a lot of copy-paste out there, so when an artist brings something fresh and different, it really stands out and connects with listeners. That’s what makes a track truly hit – something that feels unique and offers a new perspective.
Beyond the studio, how do you approach your DJ sets? Do you see them as an extension of your production style, or do you take a different approach when performing live?
For us, DJ sets are totally different. When we perform live, we focus on giving a message to the crowd – it’s all about connecting with them as they dance and have fun. With our tracks, the message is there too, but it’s more introspective, aimed at people in different situations around the world. We approach each with a different perspective, tailoring the experience to the moment and the vibe.
What’s something about Brigado Crew that fans might not know—whether it’s a behind-the-scenes habit, a funny studio moment, or an unexpected musical influence?
One thing fans might not know is that we’re both huge football fans, like about 80% of Argentina! The funny part is that we’re strong rivals because our teams have been rivals since the very first year of football in Argentina. So, behind the scenes, we’re rivals—but only when it comes to football!
What excites you most about the future? Any dream collaborations, new sounds you’re exploring, or major goals you’re working towards?
We’re really excited about the future, especially with our label. It’s grown so much over the past year, and now it feels like a full-fledged company with more people involved. We’re looking forward to what’s ahead and how things are shaping up—it’s an exciting time for us, and we can’t wait to see where it all goes.
