Two Italians on a wild ride … meet Armonica
We are honored to have these 2 jovial Italians, that go under the moniker Armonica, in our guest mix series. Andrea and Asal made us a stunning and groovy deep house mix. Pure pleasure.
With a busy summer behind them, a residency at one of Italy’s hottest clubs Cocorico, their own Goat Serious events, sets at Pacha Ibiza & Barcelona, sets in Kiev, … they are now ready to drop some fresh tunes on some major underground record labels. One of them being on Andhim’s imprint pretty soon.

Ciao Andrea, Asal, can you tell us what’s behind your artist name ‘Armonica’?
Every sound is composed by harmonic, one of these is the basic harmonica and then its derivatives. The translation into Italian is Armonica. This is the explanation for the choice of our name.
Let’s get into clichés. Italians talk a lot. So here’s a challenge. Describe yourself in max 5 words.

For both our mothers our work is always the best. 😉
How does a duo like you maintain a successful working relationship in a crazy space like dance music?
We are two different kinds of persons but we are bound by respect and strong friendship. So we’ve become complementary for every type of crazy relationship.
Serious now. What’s cooking? Any new work up your sleeves?
We have just finished 2 remixes for Get Physical and for the super duo Andhim. We are waiting for the release of our remix of Par-t-one, I’m so crazy. We are always in full effect in our studio for experimenting with new originals.
What can we expect from the mix you made for us? New work inside? Special vibe?
We made a remix that gave us a lot of satisfaction. It’s called Baayoka. The vibes are deep like we love them. We are truly a fan of a minor key. So you can enjoy your mental trip.
Name one track that gets the dance floor moving every time?
It’ s very difficult to choose only one track, but of course, Caribou – Melody day (Four Tet remix) reminds me the most exciting closing set.
