DJ since 2008 and music producer with his first track released in 2017, Frenchman Virak has been increasingly conquering his space within the clubber culture. Whether it’s performing across your country or touring Asian countries like China and Thailand, House Music and its variations are in his veins — his releases on labels like BNGRZ Records, Discolored and more recently Adesso Music also attest to the high artistic level of the artist.

In early August (6), Virak received a series of remixes by New York House Music legend Todd Terry, released again through Adesso Music, the record label run by Junior Jack and Pat BDS. The remix EP consists of three versions of the “Kaolack”.
The main remix is the perfect blend of Todd Terry’s groove with the synths and ethnic vocals present in the original version. The US Mix version lives up to its name, with a leaner arrangement and total focus on rhythmic elements, the main features of American House Music. Rubba Dub is Kaolack’s third version and gets its name from its focus on elements that make the music groove, such as drums and bassline.
